Major Management Change at Point2 Agent - Confirmed in the "News"

Several senior executives have left Point2 Agent -- one of the world's largest suppliers of real estate website solutions.

I believe the first public indications of this change were made last Friday here (followed up here). On Saturday, Becky Troutt reported the news here on AR.

Inman News finally ran a story this morning confirming what the blogs had been saying for days.

And Point2 just released a formal press release covering who has left, and who at Point2 was promoted to fill the vacancies.

Interesting times at Point2, that's for sure!  I know many of those that left, as well as those that will take their places. All are talented, dedicated people, and I wish them all the best.

As one of their coaches I was personally contacted to talk and discuss the changes.  I admire that in a company.

Allen - there is a lot to admire in Point2.

Jeffery - The whole plan? No. Part of the plan? Maybe. But change is often good.

Howdy Jay

Any idea how soon we may see changes started to happen?

I had just about made up my mind to up grade. I think that I'll hold off for a bit for now.

Have a good one

I spoke with my primary contact at Point2 this afternoon just to see how she was doing. She was very optimistic about the changes that are taking place as well as with the opportunities that it has created for people within the organization.

So Jay, any ideas about the changes?

I sure hope this does not change things in the wrong way.  I have been very pleased with Point2 and the ease of customization.  I rank very well within the Point2 community and in Yahoo for my keywords. Still struggling with GOGGLE ranking but moving to Page 2 and 3 with several keywords.  I would not want to go backwards if I have to find another vendor.

Scott, because P2 has moved some very competent people into key positions, I am confident that we will continue to enjoy a great product and service. Should that not be the case, however, I'll mention that your search engine ranking doesn't care which web site vendor you use. Web sites can easily be moved between hosts without loss of ranking or with improved ranking, as long as the elements that constribute to the ranking such as keyword density, as kept intact. By the way, there's lots of room for improvement in your title tag; ask for help on the P2 message board and I'll be happy to go into more detail.

I like Point2 and will hope that the changes are for our benefit and transparent to the service.  Thanks for the update.

Hi Jay, I hope the changes will enhance their platform. Are there any big changes in store?

Another shake-up is making this whole business interesting. Someday there will be some big news  of a merger!

"A merger"? God forbid.

Ross Quintana 509-362-1966Yeah it could go either way. Companies can turn for the worse in moments and if you forget where you came from, you are on your way back. Like when Top producer launched the web based site instead of the software you could buy. They sold it by saying no need to pay for updates. Then they continued to charge for every worthy update to th system saying"it is new and we have to pay for it somehow." I remember how they got people to switch and I feel this was a shift in their plan and dishonest.

Just wanted to stop by and say that I, for one, am very pleased with Point2Agent.  I just started using it, so am not aware of the management change and don't know what may be different.  I just know that it is fairly easy to use, and has a lot of great stuff.  I am still learning about websites, SEO, Blogs, etc.
